Excursions
If you want to discover the hidden corners of the island of Elba and want to hear the old stories that have shaped this island, take a trip with a guide. The guides will lead you into the loneliest and most beautiful areas, for example, to the ancient Roman columns, tombs, forts or shepherds' huts.
Elba Island is rich in history and hikes in the interior of the island are always a unique experience, with the finest fragrances of the Mediterranean and the beautiful ruins of the past.
For those who want to visit the highest point of the Tuscan Archipelago, we instead recommend a visit to the Monte Capanne (1019 meters), where you hike up through a path which rises through chestnut woods, or you go by a cable car up to the top of the island of Elba. From here you have a fantastic view of the entire coast of Elba and the Tuscan Archipelago up to the coast of Corsica.
Elba offers also sea trips. In summertime there are numerous boat trips, starting from the main ports. There are all day trips by boat to the secluded coves of the island.
